The Seventh-day Adventist church practices open communion, meaning you do not have to be a member to participate. Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is the practice of remembering Jesus’s last Passover supper with His disciples and how he gave the bread and wine new meaning. You may read about it in Matthew 26:26–29; Mark 14:22–25; Luke 22:17–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–25. We also practice foot washing (The Ordinance of Humility) as Jesus commanded. This helps prepare our hearts for our rededication in Communion. You can read about it in John 13:1-17.
(Gluten-free bread is available for those with that need and the wine is always unfermented grape juice.)
